How To Start Your Business?

Hivium - June 7, 2019 - 0 comments

This is a 10 part series where we will guide you on all the aspects that you should keep in mind while starting a business.

Part 6:

You have an idea of what CMS you should use to build your website. Every website or business who has a website needs something that is different from the others so that they can create an impression on the minds of their viewers.

In this part, we will discuss themes that can be used to make your website stand out from the crowd.

You can design or develop your own website, but not everyone is familiar with website design and development. So, there are various other options that you can consider when you are looking for a theme. Let us discuss them below.

  1. Design on your Own: If you are a developer or designer or are creative, then you can surely design your own website. Do note that you will require basic and advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP or any other framework that you intend to build your website on. You can follow some tutorials on YouTube and try to see if this turf is for you. If you think, that it is difficult to code, you can consider the below options too.
  2. Buy a Design/Theme from a Marketplace: If you think coding or designing a website isn’t your cup of tea, or do not have the time to develop one, you can always buy a readymade design or template from a marketplace. You can consider Themeforest or Creative Market. There are many other theme stores, developers, agencies too which provide great quality of themes. You can search for Elegant Themes, YiThemes, DesignModo. These are just a few and there are many more to have a look at. Just searching for your favorite theme on Google will give you very good results. One thing you should take care of is to see when the theme was released, when it was updated, how frequent are the updates, how does the developer correspond (try emailing him for pre-sales questions, and see his responses.). This will help you figure out which theme you should be looking at.
  3. Hire a Developer: If yours is big business or you have no knowledge about coding, CMS, installing themes, and need a custom theme from your business point of view, then you can hire a developer or designer. Big businesses like to keep their website custom built according to their platform or status in the market. Do note that this will be the option that will require the highest money, as a developer may charge you in thousands too. So when using this option, have a nice chat with the developer, see his previous work, talk about the payments, etc. before you hire him.

These are the options which you can consider while creating a new website or even redesigning it. That’s all for this post. If you have any questions, doubts or suggestions, please comment below.
